Preschool
PreK3
All children coming from our Twos program will enter into this beginning preschool grade. Our PreK3 classes lay the foundation for curriculum in our older PreK classes. All children are 3 on or by August 31. Families may choose from two PreK3 options.
PreK3 Half Day Program
Our PreK3 4-day classes are mornings, Monday-Thursday, from 8:40 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with the option to enroll to stay for afternoon enrichments which extends the day until 2:30 p.m.
PreK3 Full Day Program
Our PreK3 5-day classes are full-days, Monday-Thursday, from 8:40 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and Friday morning, from 8:40 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Classes attend enrichments, which are included in your tuition.
PreK4
These classes have a curriculum focus that is taught throughout the full day. Children in these classes will be taught a PreK curricula that will prepare them for Kindergarten. Children also attend an enrichment class each day of the week. All children in PreK 4 are four years old on or by August 31. These classes are full days, Monday-Thursday, from 8:40 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and half days on Friday mornings, from 8:40 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Saint Michael Episcopal School is thrilled to announce our implementation of Changemakers: A Social Emotional Learning Curriculum for our Preschool and Kindergarten Division.
This research-based program was developed by the renowned Momentous Institute based here in Dallas and seamlessly follows our Baby Doll Circle Time curriculum used with our Early Learning Division. The intentional and engaging instruction of Changemakers aligns beautifully with Saint Michael’s approach to early childhood by incorporating language and activities that directly connect to students’ own experiences. Through the program, children will build skills in areas including self-regulation, gratitude, perspective-taking, and more. All three grade levels will culminate the year in a unit focused on becoming Changemakers themselves, further developing their connection to our four pillars of Love, Faith, Education, and Service.
