Weekly Chapel
At Saint Michael Episcopal School, we believe helping children develop a relationship with God is an important part of building the character of our students.
Weekly chapel has become a special time each Wednesday and Thursday morning when all our children gather to engage in an age-appropriate service. Our PreK and kindergarten students participate in the processional, recessional and weekly prayers.
We invite parents to join us any time, especially if their child is a chapel helper that week or receiving a birthday blessing. Whether teaching about God’s love, being a good neighbor, helping others in need or how we can all be examples of Christ, our chapel service is designed to engage with our little ones in a meaningful way each week. Our Early Learning children attend weekly chapel service where they too sing favorite songs and learn some of the most meaningful stories from the Bible.
Godly Play
Children in PreK 3, PreK 4 and kindergarten have the opportunity to develop and grow their understanding of God through one Godly Play class a week.
The class is led by 2 teachers who are trained in this special class.

The Foundation’s vision is to provide opportunity for all to explore the mystery of God’s presence in our lives, to hear God’s invitation for spiritual experience, to listen to what God is saying, and to make authentic and creative responses to God’s call in our lives. We believe that the Godly Play curriculum practices provide that opportunity.
